GENUINO 101

A learning and development board that delivers the performance and low-power consumption of the Intel® Curie™ Module with the simplicity of Arduino at an entry-level price. It keeps the same robust form factor and peripheral list of the UNO with the addition of onboard Bluetooth LE capabilities and a 6-axis accelerometer/gyro to help you easily expand your creativity into the connected world.

DC INPUT

The DC port can be used to power up the device when it is not connected to the USB. The recommended voltage input is 7 to 12V, provided by a battery or any DC power supply.

USB PORT

The USB port can be used not only to upload code from the computer to the board, but also to power up the device.

RESET BUTTON

The reset button resets the microcontroller as well as the USB communication.

DIGITAL PINS

Digital I/O consists of 14 pins (D0 to D13) that can be inputs and outputs and have two states: on or off, in other words 0 or 1.
Analog Output: Some Digital pins (D9, D10, D11) can behave as Analog Output pins using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).

ANALOG PINS

Analog Input consists of 6 dedicated pins (A0 to A5) that can take analogue values (i.e. voltage readings) and convert them into a number between 0 and 1023.

POWER PINS

The Power pins can provide your projects with electricity, providing you with 3.3V and 5V. You can also find 3 GND pins to ground your circuits (one ground pin is located on the digital pins side, next to D13).

ICSP PINS

These pins are used by microcontrollers for communicating with one or more peripheral devices quickly over short distances. It can also be used for communication between two microcontrollers. These communications use the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), a synchronous serial data protocol.

ACCELEROMETER, GYROSCOPE & MAGNETOMETER

Add motion, direction and orientation sensing to your project with this high precision sensors.

PUSH BUTTON

Little clicky switches are standard input "buttons" on electronic projects. The pins are normally open (disconnected) and when the button is pressed they are momentarily closed.

TOUCH BUTTON

Add a touch sensors to your project with this easy-to-use capacitive touch sensor.

DISPLAY

This is a nice, bright alphanumeric display that shows letters and numbers in a beautiful red hue.

RED LED

Ultra Bright LED (Lamp Emitting Diode) to light up your projects or add some visual feedback, red color.

GREEN LED

Ultra Bright LED (Lamp Emitting Diode) to light up your projects or add some visual feedback, green color.

NEOPIXEL

16 ultra bright smart LED NeoPixels are arranged in a circle with 1.75" (44.5mm) outer diameter.

POTENTIOMETER

This potentiometer is a standard linear taper 10K ohm potentiometer, with a grippy shaft. For instance, you can use it as a knob to dim some LEDs.

TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Wide range, low power temperature sensor outputs an analog voltage that is proportional to the ambient temperature.

PIEZO BUZZER

Piezo buzzers are used for making beeps, tones and alerts.
